What I like:
My oily T-zone and cream foundations never mix. I tend to steer clear of them because of that. However, I gave this Creme Powder foundation a try anyway and I was surprisingly pleased with how it wore. I touched up my nose and forehead once...that's it. I didn't get overly shiny like I expected. That's a huge plus for me. Also, the shade is perfect for me. The texture and coverage were lovely. Very smooth and liquid-like with a sheer to medium buildable coverage (I went for medium).
What I don't like:
It was a bit difficult to apply. Despite its liquid-like feel, getting the foundation to apply evenly and set was a challenge. It initially went on streaky. Through trial and error I found that I had to pat the product on with the sponge then buff it in with a brush, then set it with a powder to get it to become more skin-like. Another downfall for me that not everyone will have an issue with...it creased under my eyes. If you look at the photo above, you'll notice it. After packing on translucent powder, it ceased but the creases came back about 6-7 hours later. I'm also not crazy about the price, mostly because this foundation wasn't PERFECT. If I'm going to spend that much on a product, it needs to work miracles for me.
Youngblood is a fabulous, quality brand but this foundation isn't really for me. Loved the coverage, texture, color, and lasting power but with the creasing under my eyes, I can't say that it'll be a staple in my daily makeup routine.
