Milani Shadow Eyez 12 HR Wear Eyeshadow Pencils | Swatches and Thoughts

If you haven't seen these CVS Exclusive eyeshadow pencils yet, definitely keep an eye out for them. These new Milani Shadow Eyez Eyeshadow Pencils are sure to be a hit.

Milani says:
- Long-lasting (up to 12 hours)
- Easy to use
- Water-resistant, crease-proof
- Paraben-free
- Sharpens with Milani's Duo Sharpener
- Made in Germany
- CVS EXCLUSIVE

Opaque color payoff, metallic and pearl finishes, smooth creamy texture

Yeah...I used Brown Deluxe (that beautiful chocolate bronze) before doing pictures for this post. What can I say? I couldn't resist!

These are must-haves. Seriously. See how opaque and pigmented they are in the swatches? That's how they apply (so effortless!), and that's how they stay. The lasting power that these eyeshadow pencils have is impeccable. They stay on for HOURS without budging, creasing, or causing any other unslightly eyeshadow mishaps. Milani says they last 12 hours, however I think they have the potential to last longer. They did on me, but I think that just depends on the person. They work amazingly on their own and even make great eyeliners. They also make fabulous colored bases for upping the boldness of your eyeshadows.

I have no complaints at all. Well...one, I suppose. Milani needs to make these in a bajillion more shades. Gold, bright pink, black, yellow, orange, navy...just every color imaginable. Pretty please?

If you haven't seen these in stores yet just keep a look out for them! They're worth the wait!

Have you tried any of these Shadow Eyez pencils? Which ones catch your eye the most?

  1. The lack of Milani in Canada infuriates me. We have it in very few stores and the stock is awful:( These look gorgeous though!

  2. It's been mentioned by other beauty bloggers, which I'll pass on to you and your readers, but these are Urban Decay 24/7 Shadow pencil dupes.

Each of the Milani pencils are the same size as the Urban Decay ones. Wing Law said the ingredients are also the exact same. Now while the full size are 0.10 oz each the travel liners are 0.088 oz.

Which is a better deal right now? Urban Decay because you can pick up five travel size liners for $9 while all six full size Milani would run you about $36+ dollars. BUT once those clearance set is sold out that's it there's no more. So get the UD ones while you can if you can't find the Milani ones. If you don't like UD but like Milani get the Milani ones.

  4. @SimoneMarie...Perhaps your comment just didn't post? I never delete comments unless they're completely unrelated to my post, like spam and advertisements selling things like online prescriptions and such. You can always try posting again. So sorry for any confusion.

@ct1980...you can always try ordering online! milanicosmetics.com and cherryculture.com both sell it! :)

  14. Omg. I need these. Also, why is it Milani and NYX can do such amazing soft shadow pencils and put them out at a low cost, but NARS fails with their high creative budget?

    Boggles me. :)

  15. @Southern Gorgeous...lol!I totally agree! So many drugstore brands are really stepping it up and I think it's great. There's no reason why people should have to spend a fortune for good quality products. As for NARS...I'm personally not a fan at all.

  20. I've been wondering, are these twistable pencils? I only ask because I bought a NYX jumbo pencil once and found difficulty with twisting to get more of the product.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Christina...these pencils have to be sharpened. The NYX Jumbo pencils need to be sharpened too but they did change them up to where you need a GOOD sharpener for them. I know other people have had the same problem. These Milani ones sharpen easier and last longer than the NYX.
