wet n wild Limited Edition Baked Eyeshadow Palettes | Holiday 2011

Part of the Walgreens EXCLUSIVE Beauty Bar, these Limited Edition wet n wild Baked Eyeshadow Palettes are sure to be a huge hit this holiday season. These three palettes, containing 6 baked shadows and a trial size kohl pencil, are priced incredibly well at $4.99 each.

My Thoughts:
Let's talk about the one, slight con of these palettes -- I'm not crazy about the packaging. I prefer the typical, flip-cover palettes, as opposed to the entire cover coming off. It's nothing major though...it's not something that affects my opinion of these palettes at all.

Overall, these palettes are lovely. The shadows are pigmented, smooth, not gritty or chalky, and I know I'm going to get a ton of use out of all of them. They wear beautifully. Also, there are a ton of high-end dupes in these! (watch for my upcoming dupe post!)

Are they must-haves? Yes and no...it really depends. I can't say that the colors are incredibly unique, so maybe not. They're colors that can be found across brands, and that many people likely already own. However as a lover of wet n wild, knowing that I'd buy all three palettes if I didn't already have them, I'd also say yes. The one palette that I'd say is definitely a must-have, in my opinion, is the blue, Baked, Not Fried palette; total dupe for the Sea and Sky Mineralize Duo that MAC released a few years ago. It was a duo that I loved and used constantly - so much so that I no longer have it - and now wet n wild has duplicated it. LOVE!

SO pretty! Are these swatched wet or dry? I am confused because they looked much less pigmented in Nouveau Cheap's pictures.

These are all wonderful. I swatched mine wet and they came out like the pictures above. Right now walgreens is having a bogo 50% off so I got all 3 and the I love matte for $15 plus tax.

Wow these look so pigmented - the first set reminds me of some GDE swatches you posted once.... perhaps in a similar color grouping. I sure hope that one is still available at my Walgreen's tomorrow! Just found out about these and the Ice Baby glitter polishes :)

This is seriously weird. I just received my three palettes today, and the blue on was in the "Bake-Off Contest" packaging, while the brown was in the "Baked, Not Fried" packaging - and the brown palette came with a brown pencil... all palettes were sealed. I looked around on eBay too, and apparently several palettes are switched. Confused!
