I recently picked up the Maybelline Amethyst Ablaze Color Explosion palette after seeing it on Beauty Gala. It looked amazing so I wanted to give it a try and oh my goodness...it IS amazing. The purples are soft, pigmented, easy to blend, and just beautiful. So incredibly vibrant! These are seriously some of the most gorgeous purples and fuchsias I've seen.
Maybelline has definitely stepped it up with this Eye Studio line and I'm looking forward to trying more!
Swatches over concealer:
The silver glittery shadow is difficult to photograph but it actually looks lovely in person. The glitter factor is definitely reminiscent of a disco ball but it's fun to layer over other colors for a dazzling evening look.

holy crap! thats soo pretty!
These are gorgeous, but it looks like the purples perform much better than other shades- Grey over at Le Gothique reviewed the pink palette & felt it had pretty major issues.
Apparently the top shadow is a special amplifier meant to be layered over the other shades. I'm under the impression it's a cream- have you tried it that way & if so, any issues w/ creasing?
@ Jessica...I didn't have a problem with creasing but I always use a primer and a base and with those, all eyeshadows hold up for me. I did experience some fading though after about 8 hours which doesn't happen with any of my other shadows. Granted it was a hot day and I was out and about a lot, but still...it doesn't happen with my other shadows! I'll have a review soon :)
Oh wow what a pigment, I love it
That looks really nice, the pigment is great xx
This palette reminds me so much of the Amethyst quad that Lancome has. It has the same shades of purples in it! Looks like I may get the Maybelline one and save myself some money!!
I LOVE purple, who know they'd be so pigmented!
It'd be fab if you could check out my blog, just saw yours on Need a Makeup Fix and I followed - pretty cool! http://lipstickutopia.blogspot.com/
