The other day my beautiful fellow blogger Phyrra asked me to do a tutorial using the new wet n wild Gilded Age Eyeshadow Trio so here it is! I wish it were a live video tutorial for Youtube but I'm currently unable to do them. I need a new camera! :/ Hope you enjoy it in picture form though!
To start, I applied a base, MAC Painterly Paintpot. You can use whatever works best for you.
Step 1: Apply a matte highlight color to your browbone and inner corner. My go-to highlight is wet n wild's Brulee eyeshadow single.
Step 2: Apply the Lid color from the Gilded Age trio to your lid using a patting motion to ensure the greatest color pay off. Then blend the color a bit into the crease.
Step 3: Apply the Crease color from the trio to your outer V and into your crease.
Step 4: Use the Browbone color from the trio to blend out the edge of the Crease eyeshadow. Alternatively you can apply the Browbone color all the way up to your brow to use it as a highlight color. However, I prefer a matte highlight so I keep the shimmer on the optical bone area.
Step 5: Line your top and bottom lashlines with a dark brown pencil eyeliner. I also extended the liner out a bit. I used Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Corrupt but use whatever works best for you!
Step 6: Smudge the Crease color over the placement of the pencil liner.
Step 7: Next I applied my mascara and foundation. If you've already applied your foundation prior to your eyeshadow, then this step isn't needed. Obviously :D
Step 8: Also optional, you can apply false eyelashes. I use Salon Perfect Demi Wispies (My new favorites! EXACTLY like Ardell Demi Wispies, but half the price!).
And here's the rest of the look!
Cheeks: NYC Skin Smoothing Bronzer with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle
Lips: Rimmel Eastend Snob lipliner with MAC Shy Girl lipstick
