Swatches: Cargo Swimmables Waterproof Pencils

Recently, Ulta released a collection of Cargo Swimmables Waterproof Pencils. They are just as they state, smooth, long-lasting, and waterproof. I will say though, that the purple doesn't have the most wonderful pigmentation or the best lasting power.

Wet N Wild/MAC Dupes

Here they are! As promised, MAC dupes for the Wet N Wild palettes (see my original swatch post HERE).

Now, I don't have exact dupes for all of these colors. However, I do have colors close to them. So, I decided to post the colors that are similar along with the exact dupes.

Too Faced Fashion Eyes Look

This look was done using the "Fashion Eyes" tutorial in the Too Faced Natural Eye kit. It's more metallic than I prefer but I wanted to actually utilize the cards that came with the kit, so I just decided to go with it and stick to the true look. I did like it; I just normally would have gone for a matte highlight since there's so much shine going on with the lid colors. Next time :)

If you don't have the Natural Eyes Kit, I definitely recommend it! It's super versatile. However, for this look all you really need is a warm gold, dark reddish brown, and a skintoned metallic highlight color.

Coral and Purple featuring Glamour Doll Eyes

For this look I was able to use some of my favorite products; my Glamour Doll Eyes eyeshadows and my new Coral Crepe Paintpot from MAC. Coral Crepe is just the most gorgeous cream eyeshadow. This time I topped it with GDE's My Belle eyeshadow, one of my most favorite from Glamour Doll. Ever. For now at least.

April Favorites

I know, I know...I'm a few days late this time. I don't have many on the list but here they are--my April Favorites!

Clarisonic Mia


I'll be posting a write-up on this product soon but I can tell you now, I'm in love. The Clarisonic Mia has completely changed my skin for the better. It's never felt so clean and smooth. My combination skin is less oily and less dry, and it's even started to shrink my pores a bit. My makeup has never applied more smooth; I'm even using less foundation. It's the best purchase I've ever made for my skin.

Sigma Brushes


I'd been wanting to try Sigma's brushes for quite some time but was waiting for a particular brush to come in. Now, I finally was able to get some and I am seriously in awe of every single brush. I have the Professional Brush Kit, the F80 brush (previously named the SS197...and the best brush ever), the SS109 brush, and the SS182 buffer brush. I'm going to be doing a series of posts, as well as a foundation tutorial using these brushes but let me tell you now, they're amazing.

Pink Brush Wash

The Boys Day Quadriset from Harajuku Hunnies is my most favorite yet. The blues in it are just stunning. Enough said.

Eyebrow Tutorial

As you can see, my natural brows are very sparse and barely there. I am in the process of letting my brows fill in a bit but that could take years. So, this is how I do my brows. If you have brows like mine, this could be a great option for you if you like the more defined, bold look. If you are lucky enough to have a fuller brow, you could still apply some of these same concepts to get the defined look.

Now, I've posted brow tutorials before. My process hasn't changed too much, however the products that I use have changed. I'm not using mostly Senna Cosmetics for my brows. I was sent the products for consideration a while ago and I've never changed from them since then. I even purchase the products myself now. They really are just superb in quality and the best brow products I've ever tried.

Senna Cosmetics Brow Duo in Brunette
Senna Cosmetics Double Brow Brush
MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW25
Straight edge craft store brush
Flat, soft blending brush (any brush that will allow you to blend out concealer)
Senna Cosmetics Brow Fix 'X' in Taupe X

Wet N Wild Lust Eyes (smokey purple)

This look was done using mostly the Lust palette from Wet N Wild. I did use one MAC color, a dark brown, to blend out the purples on the lid, creating a smokey effect. As for the Lust palette though, I love it. You know how I love purples and these are no exception. They're super pigmented and easy to apply. Plus, there are a ton of MAC dupes in this palette. I'll do a post on MAC dupes soon!
