Nearly everything I used for this look is from Senna Cosmetics, one of the best brands I've had to honor of trying. My eyes (which I loved) were done with their Eye Color Trio in Glamour Eyes, a gorgeous grouping of a glimmering gold, a shimmering brown, and matte plum brown. My cheeks and lips, and as always, my brows, were also done using products from Senna.
Go HERE for swatches of some of Senna's products.
Until recently I'd never tried Lorac eyeshadows. Now, I'm so glad I finally did because they're heavenly. Super smooth and super pigmented; very easy to work with. A little goes a very very long way with these shadows! Yes, Lorac is a higher end brand but they do go on sale from time to time on LoracCosmetics.com and Hautelook, both of which offer amazing sales.
Here I've used their Starry-Eyes Baked Eyeshadow Trio in Star Struck for shimmering plum eyes.
Luxuriously smooth, corn silk formula provides eyes with a neutral base and an awakened brightness. The formula blends into skin for a long lasting, beautiful effect. The 4 color quad allows for both natural and dramatic looks. Mirror in compact included.
I was incredibly skeptical of this eyeshadow quad before trying it. However, I am now impressed.
Urban Decay Stardust eyeshadows...I'm not completely sure how I feel about these. The color pay off isn't incredible unless applied wet; there is a ton of glitter fallout (for me) and it sticks even when I clean my face with a wet wipe. However, there's no glitter residue after I put on my foundation. Then there's the sparkle...it's amazingly gorgeous. So shimmery, shiny, sparkly...beautiful! So, while I hate them, I also love them :) And I really really want Bobby Dazzle!
I also love Glamour Doll Eyes Chocoholic eyeshadow that I applied with with some Benefit Shelaq~
Benefit really does have some gorgeous new eyeshadow colors for Spring. One of them, Nice Melons, is a beautiful melon color...a sort of soft creamsicle shade. I paired it with my usual pink and purple for a girly springtime look.
Also, because I got asked so many times when I wore this, my top liner is Urban Decay's 24'7 eyeliner in Rockstar topped with MAC's Vibrant Grape eyeshadow.
Recently Lorac released their Behind the Scenes Eye Shadow Primer. According to Lorac:
This gentle, lightweight, oil, fragrance and paraben free formula keeps your eye shadow picture-perfect from daytime to Prime Time. Created by celebrity makeup artist Carol Shaw to be used Behind The Scenes on photo shoots and on the Red Carpet, this unique eye shadow primer easily glides on for crease-resistant, silky-smooth color that lasts!
