Neutral Eye with a Purple Punch

Using some gorgeous Glamour Doll Eyes and taking inspiration by Youtube's talented NikkieTutorials, I did this wearable look with a bit of purple that brightens up the lower lashline. In Nikkie's video she used aquas and blues but I thought I'd change it up a bit since I tend to do brown and blue a lot.

Soft, Smokey Brown Eyes featuring Coastal Scents

I haven't used my Coastal Scents palettes in quite a while so I thought I'd take them out and play a bit. Using the a medium brown and darkest brown from the Ultra Shimmer Palette, then colors from the original (matte) palette that go with my skintone, this look was easy to achieve and also very wearable.

Perfect for spring and summer!

My review:
Upon receiving these palettes, I was very impressed. The quality is amazing; very well built and the colors are just gorgeous. I actually transferred all of my small pans of MAC eyeshadows (a total of 12) over to my Lemongrass UNII Palette and there is still room for 2 more pans.

Simple Eyes and Red Lips

My signature red lip look and also the complete look of what I did for my Winged Eyeliner Tutorial, this look is just classic. Simple eyes with black liner, full lashes, and crisp red lips.

Azure Eyes featuring Bare Escentuals

In this simple, yet glowing look, Bare Escentual's Azure eyeshadow steals the show. A stunning color, Azure is one of the line's brighter, more eyecatching shades. When applied wet, like I did here, the shadow has an amazing payoff. However, for a softer look, the shadow can be applied dry.

Cirque Du Soleil Inspired Look

I had a little free time and ended up with the urge to do something super dramatic; something I haven't done for a while; something different than anything I'd done before. What I ended up with was this sort of Cirque Du Soleil inspired look.

I used quite a range of colors and brands for me eyes along with some rhinestones from the craft store. You can see a list of products and placement below, as always :)

January 2010 Favorites

It's February now but I wanted to start doing a monthly favorite post. These items won't only be the new items I've purchased of had the opportunity to try, but also just things I've been loving in general.

Also, if all goes as planned, I'll also be doing a giveaway to go with my Favorites...starting this month! :)

Earthy Greens Inspired by Candyish Makeup

In browsing through the lovely Candyish Makeup's blog, I came across this look; very different from my normal looks. No pink. No purple. Just greens, teals, and brows--definitely not a combination I would have thought to do myself. I did love Candy's version though and needed to recreate it!

So, if you aren't familiar with her, I suggest you check out Candyish Makeup. She's such a sweetheart and has the most lovely blog. She also does videos for Youtube! And don't forget to follow her on Twitter!
