36 Smokey Palette
This new palette from Coastal Scents is lots of fun! 36 colors, broken down into 6 different, coordinating color groupings, that can be mixed and matched for tons of different looks. The shadows in this palette are pigmented with a good combination of mattes and shimmers. There are a few colors in this palette that are just gorgeous too, which I'll show you in the swatches below, but the blues and purples in this palette are beautiful. Lots of MAC dupes too! :)
I've worn this palette twice so far. Once for a neutral, work appropriate look, and once for my Green and Purple Eyes. I used a primer and base as always (Too Faced Shadow Insurance and MAC Painterly Paintpot) and didn't have any problems with fading or creasing at all.
And...the swatches!
Section 1: golden oranges, rich browns & neutral highlighters
Favorites:
Section 2: vibrant greens with a touch of lemon and chocolate shades
--The yellow is not the best. Not pigmented at all...definitely needs a really good base. It's the one shadow I don't like.
Section 3: lavenders and a chocolate cherry shade, and a pink/nude with purple iridescence
Section 4: silvery grey shades with a beautiful taupe shimmer
Section 5: vibrant blues with shimmery silver undertones
Section 6: shades of pink with a bold black matte shadow with red sparkles

Girl after seeing these swatches I bought the palette! LOL even though CS repeats so many colors in the other palettes, at least this is all in one compact....kinda looks like several repeats in here....

i have never seen this brand of make up, i looked at the website and they are very pretty colors, do you like these colors better then MAC or OCC or any other brand? would you recommend i try it? thanks.
@BritOswald: The Coastal Scents makeup is nice...affordable and super pigmented. I do like these types of palettes better than some brands like Urban Decay, but not more than I like MAC...I don't think the quality is quite the same. Nothing wrong with CS at all though...just my personal opinion :) I've never tried OCC though.
I've been eyeing this palette, but keep telling myself i don't need it. LOL... I'll have to resist the temptation. The swatches you posted aren't making it any easier.. haha :) Thanks for sharing!
