Teal and Brown Eyes

One of the looks for the Become.com article for my Top 5 Eye Shadows for Fall, this look actually features one of my least favorite colors to wear...teal! I've never liked it on me, but through a little experimenting I found that if I use it in moderation and pair it with colors that I do like, it completely changes up my dislike. I surprisingly loved how this look turned out. Plus, I've seen so much teal this year at stores like Macy's, so I'm glad I was able to find a way to make it work.

So, a little tip for you. If you think you can't wear a certain color, pair a little of it with colors that you love wearing, and you may be surprised!

  7. I loveee this! A while ago you posted a look of royal blue with brown, and I loved it so much I did it myself. Blue eyeshadow can be hard to work with, but the brown really tones it down and makes it very wearable! (:

  12. PLEASE HELP.....When i see your eye close in the picture it looks like you did a outer V, however you don't metion at all that you did a outer V, you state only crease. Why does it look like you put eyeshadow on the outer V, I'm verry confuse.....please help....:)

  13. @Anonymous: I actually didn't add a color to my outer V. That's just just full intensity of the brown eyeshadow blended with the teal on my lid, and without being blended over with the highlight. In the last picture especially, it looks like I have an outer V color but that's just the shadows (as in literal shadows, from darkness) forming in the definitions of my eye.

There is no outer V color. Hope that helped! :)

  14. I just discovered this, and even though I'm really late, I must tell you this is absolutely beautiful! One question though, did you use the Urban Decay "Distortion" over the entire top lid over the pigment, or just as a liner?
